The beautiful, picturesque village of Orton, Cumbria combined with a luxury little cottage to stay in, what more could I ask for? Those that have followed me a while will be well aware of my love for Orton and the surrounding area so it is always a pleasure to get back there as often as I can. Now I have found the perfect place to stay whilst there, Combe Leigh Cottage.
If you want to be situated in a gorgeous part of Cumbria then this is a spot to head to. Perfectly situated too as a gateway to the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales or the North Pennines. But be assured that all around you are in the right place to explore the stunning Eden Valley. The village is also directly on the Coast to Coast walk too, so a great excuse to stop and rest here.
This 1 bedroom cottage is situated in the heart of Orton and the idyllic surroundings. Alone or as a couple there is plenty of room with luxury comforts all round. The bedroom can be two singles or a Super King Size double, all laid out wonderfully for your arrival from a long day’s walking 🙂
The leather sofa in the living room also opens into a single bed, so three visitors can be catered for.
The breakfast bar is filled too for you, fruits, cerials, milk, bread, bacon, eggs and more! Even better still when you can sit on the seating outside the rear and yes, the sun rises that side too in the mornings, out over the open countryside.
The power shower is wonderful and in a large yet cosy bathroom, in fact I can say the whole cottage is cosy yet roomy. You can feel at home here, whether it be for a one night stay, a weekend or a week or more! Yes there is so much to see and do around these parts I assure you. Parking is right out front so you can get in your car and explore at will. There is also plenty of great walking to be done from straight out the door too 🙂
