My homemade muesli bars are one of my favourites. I know what’s in them and they have limited preservatives. I like to take a couple of these with me when cycling, they give me great slow release energy and easy to digest. Â

Don’t feel you have to stick to the recipe, I’ve adapted this from banana flapjacks and homemade muesli and will use whatever fruit and nuts I have. Substitute chopped apricots for dates or maybe add some dark chocolate chunks, I would add about 70 grams.
These muesli bars look amazing! Can’t wait to bake these on a slow weekend – I bet they make a great snack for work or the gym. I wonder if you could try adding some dark chocolate chips to these for a hit of cocoa.
